Recently, Alibaba released its first high-performance risc-v chip platform, Wujian 600, at the 2022 risc-v China Summit.

According to CNMO, Wujian 600 is the first high-performance chip platform under Alibaba, breaking many global risc-v records. It supports 4-core processors, with a maximum main frequency of 2.5GHz and a storage DDR of 4266mt, and its overall performance is more excellent. At the same time, Ali said that pingtouge and the Software Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences optimized the software and hardware system based on Wujian 600, and successfully realized the operation of large-scale operating system and software on risc-v chip for the first time in the world.
In this regard, the CEO of risc-v International Foundation believes that Wujian 600 can support the development of higher performance SOC chips, which will bring more space for the ecological development of risc-v technology. It is reported that in risc-v International Foundation, pingtouge participated in the formulation of standards in 29 technical directions and led 10 technical teams. It is recognized as a leading Chinese institution with leading input.
In addition, academician Ni Guangnan also said in his speech at the 2022 risc-v China summit that the mainstream CPU market is still monopolized by x86 and arm architectures, but the emerging open source instruction set risc-v will provide new opportunities for the development of China's chip industry. If China seizes the opportunity, it may take the initiative in CPU core technology.
