Last year, Intel launched the 12th generation of core desktop processor alder Lake in November, and launched the mobile version of the product on this year's ces. Everyone should know that they will continue to launch the 13th generation of core Raptor lake this year, but the release time of the new generation of processors may be significantly advanced, and it is possible to launch all the 13th generation of core processors this year.
Intel CEO pat Kissinger said on the earnings conference call with financial analysts and investors: "In the current market, we also see our relative strength in the high-end segment of consumer and commercial services. We hope to launch our next-generation product series Raptor lake, launch our desktop SKU from this autumn, and then launch our mobile series before the end of the year, so as to build on this momentum."
In other words, they plan to launch the 13th generation of core desktop processors in the fall of this year, and launch the mobile version before the end of the year, rather than waiting for ces at the beginning of next year. Since Raptor lake is only optimized on the basis of alder lake and continues to use the existing LGA 1700 platform, this schedule is not a problem.
As for why they do this, it may be that they want to take out notebooks equipped with a new generation of processors at Christmas and the traditional peak sales season at the end of the year. After all, the shipments of notebook processors are much more than desktops.
The Innovation Conference of Intel this year has been advanced from October to September 27/28. It is most possible to release Raptor lake at this time point, and then it will be launched in large quantities in October.
