According to Android Authority, Google is developing the next-generation Tensor G4 chip, which is based on Samsung's Exynos 2400 chip and will be used in the Pixel 9 series of phones released in 2024.

According to reports, the chip, codenamed "Zuma Pro", is currently running on a development board called "Ripcurrent Pro". According to the report, the chip was designed with the assistance of Samsung's System LSI division, which compares to the nine-core Tensor G3 chip (based on the as-yet-unreleased Exynos 2300). The Tensor G3 chip is codenamed "Zuma" and its development board is codenamed "Ripcurrent". The Tensor G3 chip will be used on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones released on October 4 this year.
The report also revealed that Google plans to launch a fully self-designed Tensor G5 chip in 2025, which will be used on the Pixel 10 mobile phone. Moreover, Google also intends to manufacture the Tensor G5 chip from TSMC rather than Samsung.
Previously, it was revealed that Google plans to launch the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones based on the Tensor G3 on October 4, 2023. The new phones will have better designs and improved cameras. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be equipped with a larger ISOCELL GN2 main camera sensor. The Pixel 8 Pro also uses a 64MP ultra-wide-angle camera, while the Pixel 8 will use a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. According to reports, the Pixel 8 Pro is also equipped with a 48MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
