MediaTek Launches Tenguet 8300 Mobile Chip, Comprehensive Innovation to Drive End-Side Generative AI Innovation

        MediaTek announced the Tenguet 8300 5G generative AI mobile chip, bringing Tenguet's flagship experience to the Tenguet 8000 series and empowering AI innovation in high-end smartphones. As a new member of the Tenguet 8000 Series family, the Tenguet 8300 features advanced generative AI technology and power efficiency, as well as an excellent gaming experience and high-speed, stable network connectivity.

With power-efficient end-side AI capabilities, support for flagship storage, and superior gaming, imaging, and multimedia entertainment experiences, the Tenguet 8300 opens up more new opportunities in the high-end smartphone market with comprehensive platform innovation."
        Adopting TSMC's second-generation 4nm process and based on the Armv9 CPU architecture, the Tenguet 8300's octa-core CPU contains four Cortex-A715 performance cores and four Cortex-A510 energy-efficient cores, delivering a 20% increase in peak CPU performance and a 30% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. In addition, the Tenguet 8300 is equipped with a 6-core GPU, Mali-G615, which delivers a 60% increase in peak GPU performance and a 55% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. The Tenguet 8300 supports excellent memory and flash storage specifications, providing users with a silky smooth experience in gaming, daily applications, and imaging scenarios.
        The Tenguet 8300 is the first in its class to support generative AI with up to 10 billion parameters for AI large language models. The chip integrates MediaTek's AI processor APU 780 and is equipped with a generative AI engine that delivers twice the performance of the previous generation in integer and floating-point operations, and supports Transformer Arithmetic Acceleration and Mixed-Precision INT4 quantization technology, which delivers up to 3.3 times the overall AI performance of the previous generation, allowing for the smooth operation of terminal-side generative AI innovative applications.
        Tengui-8300 is equipped with MediaTek's new-generation "StarSpeed Engine", which, through unique performance algorithms, provides real-time resource scheduling based on the performance requirements of the application and the device temperature information, allowing users to enjoy a gaming experience with high frame rate, stable frame rate, low power consumption and long battery life. StarSpeed Engine is not only cooperating with game applications, but also expanding ecological cooperation with more types of applications to upgrade users' APP experience.
