MediaTek today announced the launch of the new MediaTek 5G platform, the T830, a highly integrated system-on-chip with a 4nm process and Arm Cortex-A55 quad core CPU. As a highly integrated system-on-chip, the T830 features a 4nm process and Arm Cortex-A55 quad-core CPU, an integrated M80 5G modem, and support for 3GPP R16 standards.
The MediaTek T830 platform features a highly integrated and compact design that not only reduces overall platform power consumption, but also helps device manufacturers reduce development costs, shorten product development cycles and accelerate time-to-market. The T830 can be used to create small, easy-to-use, more mobile and portable 5G network devices that deliver a high-speed 5G experience to end users.
The MediaTek T830 platform is a highly integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) with an integrated M80 5G modem and support for 3GPP R16. The T830 features an Arm Cortex-A55 quad-core CPU with a Sub-6GHz full-band RF transceiver, GNSS receiver and power management system, and a built-in hardware-level The T830 also supports MediaTek The T830 also supports MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving technology to reduce power consumption for 5G communications, providing a high-performance, high-speed, energy-efficient communications solution.
Vendors can combine the T830 with MediaTek Filogic wireless connectivity solutions: for 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) devices, the T830 can be paired with the Filogic 680 (tri-band 4x4 Wi-Fi 7); for 5G mobile hotspot devices, the T830 can be paired with the Filogic 380 (dual-band 2x2 Wi-Fi 7). Fi 7) for 5G mobile hotspot devices. Each of these solutions supports advanced Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO Multi-Link Operation and 320MHz wide channel support.
