Micron has announced the Crucial X9 Pro Portable SSD and the Crucial X10 Pro Portable SSD, both powered by Micron TLC NAND and taking advantage of the revolutionary single-ASIC portable storage architecture, designed for content creators such as photographers, cameramen, designers, or any consumer looking for performance. Both products are available now, with capacities of 4TB, 2TB and 1TB.
Among them, the Crucial X9 Pro can achieve sequential read and write speeds of up to 1050MB/s, plug and play via USB-C connection, and can be used with Windows, Mac, Android devices and more. It measures just 65x50mm and weighs just 38g.
The Crucial X10 Pro is Micron's fastest external SSD to date, with sequential read/write speeds of up to 2,100 MB/s and 2,000 MB/s, respectively.
The Crucial X10 Pro SSD can be connected directly to a laptop or workstation via the included USB-C cable for fast processing of multiple camera timelines, and users can even edit, trim, and render directly from the SSD. The Crucial X10 Pro is water and dust resistant (IP55), out of the box, for Windows, Mac, Android, game consoles and more.
