The TPS63051RMWR is a highly efficient and low quiescent-current buck-boost converter, perfect for applications where the input voltage varies from the output. With a continuous output current of up to 500 mA in boost mode and 1 A in buck mode, it ensures reliable performance. The device regulates the output voltage seamlessly across the complete input voltage range by switching between buck or boost mode based on the input voltage. The fixed-frequency PWM controller and synchronous rectification guarantee maximum efficiency, especially at low load currents, thanks to the Power Save Mode. The PFM/PWM pin provides flexibility to select between automatic-PFM/PWM mode operation and forced-PWM operation, with a fixed frequency of typically 2.5 MHz in PWM mode. Additionally, the output voltage can be programmed using an external resistor divider or fixed internally on the chip. The converter can also be disabled to minimize battery drain, disconnecting the load from the battery during shutdown. It is available in a 12-pin DSBGA and a 12-pin HotRod package, ensuring ease of use and installation in various applications.
