MathWorks and Infineon Technologies AG today announced the launch of the latest AURIX for Infineon ™  MathWorks Simulink of TC4x automobile microcontroller series ®  The hardware support package for the product. Automotive engineers who design advanced electric vehicles, sensor fusion and radar signal processing capabilities can use hardware support packages even before silicon is available. With this software package, they can verify use cases, quickly and automatically generate embedded software and test algorithms.
"Our latest AURIX TC4x microcontroller series will provide customers with unparalleled real-time security performance," said Marco Cassol, director of marketing for ADAS, chassis and EE architecture application microcontrollers of Infineon Technologies. "The widely used MathWorks model-based design function supports these chips so that engineers can start pre silicon software development earlier and automatically generate code to accelerate development.     The resulting time to market advantage may significantly affect the success of our customers."

"Close cooperation with Infineon will enable our joint customers to accelerate the development of electric vehicle systems," said Jim Tung, a researcher at MathWorks. "Engineers can handle complex systems while managing risk, and better understand the digital threads of system level behavior, continuous verification, and requirements. We are proud to contribute to these activities that help make vehicles cleaner, more efficient, and more reliable."
The partnership between MathWorks and Infineon provides capabilities that enable automotive engineers to accelerate the development of electric vehicles and driver assistance. These functions simplify the development of increasingly complex automotive systems. Compared with traditional methods, MATLAB is used ®  And Simulink ®  The model-based design can improve the development and verification speed of embedded system by 30% to 40%, so that the seamless support of Infineon automobile microcontroller is of great value to engineers and researchers.
This is the latest result of a series of cooperation between Infineon and MathWorks. Another recent example is to integrate Infineon's OptiMOS ™  5 SPICE model of MOSFET device is included in Simscape of MathWorks ™  Physical modeling environment, enabling faster design and effective control of motors for powertrain and cooling, pumps, and other automotive control functions to improve efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
