Qualcomm announced its fourth-generation cockpit chip, the Snapdragon 8295 (SA8295), at the Automotive Technology and Partnerships Summit this week. The Snapdragon 8295 has been upgraded in a number of ways from the Snapdragon 8155, which was previously used by new energy vehicle manufacturers. The Snapdragon 8295 uses a 5nm process that delivers 30TOPS of AI algorithm, a 2x increase in overall GPU performance and a 3x increase in 3D rendering performance compared to the previous Snapdragon 8155 (7nm), and adds integrated electronic rear view mirror, machine learning vision (rear and surround view), passenger monitoring and information security, with 11 screens on one chip.

It is reported that the first production vehicle equipped with the Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip will be the Jiduo ROBO-01, which Jiduo said, "The Snapdragon 8295-equipped ROBO-01 can achieve full localisation of voice AI algorithms in intelligent interaction, with full end-side voice recognition speed as fast as 500ms and end-to-end voice response speed within 700ms, realising full domain and full offline Speech recognition".
During the summit, Botek showcased its Snapdragon 8295-based rear entertainment screen, and the new powerhouse ZeroRun official microblogging site also announced the launch of a Snapdragon 8295-based model. Meanwhile, digital blogger Blood flagged that "Xiaomi's car will also be confirmed with the Snapdragon 8295".
At the summit, Qualcomm also introduced its ADAS smart driving chip 8650 and its cockpit chip Snapdragon 8775, among others. It also presented a panoramic view of the automotive eco-cooperation solutions.
