Apple iPhone 15 Proximity Sensor Chips Said Suppliers IQE will Replace Lianya

        IQE, a major British epitaxial manufacturer, will replace Lianya as the exclusive supplier of proximity sensor chips for Apple's iPhone 15 series.
        Some analysts believe that all iPhone 15 models will use the same dynamic island design as iPhone 14 Pro, but the difference is that iPhone 14 Pro will place the proximity sensor under the screen and outside the dynamic island. iPhone 15 series will have almost no change in the dynamic island area, but the proximity sensor will be placed inside the dynamic island, so Finisar will instead supply the wavelength The proximity sensor of 940nm wavelength will be supplied by Finisar, and the upstream epitaxial supplier will be changed to IQE instead of the current one.

  Proximity sensor is a device with the ability to sense the proximity of objects, it uses the displacement sensor to identify the proximity of objects with sensitive characteristics to the proximity of objects, and output the corresponding switch signal, therefore, the proximity sensor is usually also called a proximity switch. It is a general term for the sensor that replaces the contact detection type detection method such as a switch, for the purpose of not having to touch the object to be detected, it can detect the movement and presence information of the object and convert it into an electrical signal. iPhone's proximity sensor can know when the user is close to the device, the system will adjust the screen brightness, or sense the ambient light to display the appropriate backlight brightness.
