ASML announced last year that it would invest NT$30 billion to set up a plant in the Lin Kou Industrial Park in New Taipei, Taiwan, with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050, and the first plant incorporating zero-carbon design thinking was approved and filed for approval by the New Taipei City Urban Design Review on July 31st this year, with an estimated 2,000 employees moving into the plant in the future, and the earliest operation to be launched in 2026 at the earliest.

According to the introduction, Lin Kou Industrial Park will be developed into a demonstration site of high-tech intelligent park, and officially named as "New Taipei International AI+ Intelligent Park".
Urban and Rural Development Bureau of New Taipei City, Taiwan, pointed out that this is the first large-scale intelligent plant in Taiwan, combined with zero-carbon sustainable design, the base area of 3.3 hectares, after urban design considerations, will provide 7,000 square meters of ground greening.
New Taipei City previously indicated that ASML's Phase I NT$30 billion investment includes R&D and plants, equipment, etc., which will then become an important eye-catching facade and landmark for New Taipei City.
In June of this year, China Taiwan approved the adoption of the ASML 2nm wafer optical measurement equipment R & D and manufacturing plan, the plan's total funding of 950 million New Taiwan dollars, of which the economic sector in China Taiwan subsidized 285 million New Taiwan dollars, accounting for 30% of the total funding, the plan to implement the period of two years.
Taiwan, China is ASML's largest base in Asia, where the company has been deeply cultivated for many years, with four customer support offices, DUV (Deep Ultraviolet) and EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) training centers, as well as two manufacturing bases.
