GigaDevice Launched Breakthrough 1.2V Ultra-low Power SPI NOR Flash Product Family

        GigaDevice, an industry-leading semiconductor device supplier, announced the launch of its breakthrough 1.2V ultra-low power SPI NOR Flash product, the GD25UF series. This series reaches international leading level in key performance indicators such as data transfer speed, power supply voltage, and read/write power consumption, which can significantly reduce operating power consumption and effectively extend device endurance in applications targeting smart wearable devices, health monitoring, IoT devices or other single battery-powered applications.
 
 
        In response to the demand, GigaDevice launched GD25UF product series, which can be extended to 1.14~1.6V operating voltage, with single channel, dual channel, quad channel, and DTR quad channel SPI modes, supporting different capacity options, and capable of meeting the code storage requirements required by smart devices. In terms of read/write performance, the GD25UF has a maximum clock frequency of STR 120MHz and DTR 60MHz, and has an erase life of 100,000 times, with an effective data retention period of up to 20 years. In terms of security, the product has 128bit Unique ID to achieve encryption effect, bringing high security for applications.
        At the same time, to further meet the demand of low power consumption, GD25UF product series specially provides two operating modes, Normal Mode and Low Power Mode. In Normal Mode, the device read current is as low as 6mA at 120MHz for four channels; in Low Power Mode, the device read current is as low as 0.5mA at 1MHz for four channels, the erase current is as low as 7mA, and the sleep power consumption is as low as 0.1uA. The GD25UF series consumes 33% less power at the same current in Normal Mode and 70% less power at the same frequency in Low Power Mode, which effectively extends the endurance of the device. In addition, the GD25UF series supports a wide voltage range of 1.14~1.6V, which can significantly extend the service life of single battery powered applications. The GD25UF series supports SOP8, WSON8, USON8, WLCSP packages and the full temperature range covers -40℃~85℃, -40℃~105℃, -40℃~125℃.
