Nvidia released Thor, an intelligent car chip, which meet six demands such as automatic driving

        On the evening of September 20, NVIDIA released a new smart car chip Thor. Compared with the company's chip Altan released last year, Thor's AI computing power has doubled to 2,000TFLOPS, which can simultaneously meet the computing power requirements of six-heavy vehicles such as automatic parking, automatic driving, car machine, dashboard and driver monitoring.
        Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun said that the Thor chip is a product born for the automotive central computing architecture. Nvidia's vision for the Thor chip is to use it to replace the separate chips currently in cars, helping carmakers reduce production costs. According to reports, Geely's new energy brand Jikr has become the first person to eat crabs, and it will start using Thor chips in 2025. 
        It is worth mentioning that with the official release of the Thor chip by Nvidia, the Altan chip released by the company last year will no longer be listed. At present, the smart car chips launched by NVIDIA have become an important part of car companies. Take the Orin chip released by NVIDIA as an example, which has been used by many Chinese car companies such as “Weixiaoli” Baidu and Zhiji. However, with the increasing pressure on chips in the United States, the choice of Thor chips can improve product performance, but it also has greater risks for car companies.
