        U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan for a visit on the evening of the 2nd. Taiwan's "China Times News" quoted the "Washington Post" as saying that a source pointed out that the US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi will meet TSMC Chairman Liu Deyin today, and the two will discuss the US Congress. The implementation of the recently passed "CHIPS-plus, Chips and Science act” also shows the importance of chips to the US economy and national security.
        The Washington Post quoted an anonymous person familiar with the
 matter as saying that Pelosi will meet with TSMC Chairman Liu Deyin today, and the focus of the talks will focus on the implementation of the "Chip and Science Act" recently passed by the U.S. Congress, which provides domestic chip factories with 520 billion in federal government subsidies.
        According to reports, TSMC is currently building a chip factory in Arizona, and sources said TSMC is considering expanding its plans to build other factories at the same location. U.S. military equipment including F-35 fighter jets and Javelin anti-tank missiles, as well as supercomputers at U.S. national laboratories, use TSMC chips, according to sources familiar with the talks. In addition, major consumer electronics companies, including Apple, also rely on various semiconductors manufactured by TSMC.
