Samsung has launched two processors, the Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330, both of which support 5G.Among them, the Exynos 1380 adopts a 5nm process and has four ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores with a frequency of 2.4GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores with a frequency of 2GHz. It is also equipped with Mali-G68 MP5 GPU with 950MHz frequency, FHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate, and supports LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 DRAM chips and UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of imaging, the Exynos 1380 integrated Triple ISP can support 200 million pixel camera sensors, built-in NPU computing power up to 4.9 TOPS, slightly higher than the Exynos 1280, also supports 4K 30 same video recording with EIS, supports HDR and real-time object recognition.
In terms of communication, the Exynos 1380 has a built-in 5G modem that supports millimeter wave and sub-6GHz 5G networks, with peak download speed of 3.67Gbps and upload speed of 1.28Gbps. Supports Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB Type-C interfaces.
The other Exynos 1330 has two Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, six Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, Mali-G68 MP2 GPU, FHD+ resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate, support for LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 DRAM chips and UFS 2.2/UFS 3.1 storage compatibility.
In terms of video, the ISP inside the Exynos 1330 supports cameras up to 100 million pixels, and also supports dual camera settings of 16 million pixels+ 16 million pixels. MFC (Multi Format Codec) can record and play HEVC, H.264 and VP8 4K 30fps video codecs. In addition, the Exynos 1330 has a built-in 5G modem, supports sub-6GHz 5G network, has a peak download speed of 2.55Gbps and upload speed of 1.28Gbps.
It is understood that the new processor should be exclusive to Samsung Galaxy A series, Exynos 1380 will be used in the new Galaxy A54 5G machine, and Exynos 1330 will be used in the new Galaxy A14 5G machine.
