According to informed Russian media, Samsung is expected to return to the Russian market within the year, after the company suspended sales in Russia for six months due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. It is understood that Samsung is expected to resume device availability to retailers and the launch of its official online shop in October.
Samsung suspended shipments in early March 2022, citing "geopolitical developments". As of the fourth quarter of 2021, Samsung had 30 per cent of the Russian market share and was the leading supplier of mobile phones in Russia.

A Samsung spokesperson declined to respond to the incident, except that Samsung has resumed shipments in Russia since the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, after Russian Trade and Industry Minister Denis Manturov said that the Russian people would also have the opportunity to buy the new Apple iPhone 14 series.
