        Shen Rongjin, vice president of the Executive Yuan in Taiwan, said in an interview with the Taiwan media a few days ago that TSMC's new 1nm factory will be located in Longtan, Taoyuan, TSMC's home base in Hsinchu Science Park, if you really want to advance the deployment of Taiwan's advanced semiconductor processes, the nearest choice of Longtan Science Park is the most ideal place, and will bring tens of thousands of jobs to Taoyuan, which will drive the entire local economic development of Taoyuan.
        The Executive Yuan recently announced the launch of the Longtan Science Park Phase III project, the industry rumors that TSMC will set up a 1nm plant here. Shen Rongjin said that TSMC has set up factories in the north, middle and south of Taiwan, but Hsinchu is the home base of TSMC's R&D center, and 1nm advanced process technology, it must be closer to the R&D base, so Taoyuan Longtan Science Park will be the best choice.

        The Ministry of Economic Affairs has recently stated that if manufacturers are willing to invest in Taiwan's most advanced processes, the government certainly supports, but also on water, electricity, land and other ministries to cooperate and prepare for follow-up.
        Shen Rongjin said, at present, Taiwan's advanced semiconductor process technology is 3 nanometers, if you want to move forward to 1 nanometer, it is more necessary to speed up the promotion, ahead of deployment so that the world continues to need Taiwan technology, 1 nanometer research and development process is not only an important key technology for semiconductors, but also Taiwan's semiconductor industry to stand firm in the international key position of one of the "weapons", so it must be ahead of deployment, this point as early as more than a year ago The local government has already started its efforts to actively communicate with the central government to accelerate the promotion of the third phase of the Longtan Science Park. The future TSMC 1nm factory is located in Longtan, north of Taoyuan  Longtan, through Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, so that the entire semiconductor colony can be completely linked up, so that the western part of Taiwan has a complete semiconductor technology corridor, it is estimated that the future TSMC 1nm factory can also bring tens of thousands of engineers with annual salaries of millions of jobs for the local Longtan.
        In addition, Shen Rongjin also said that TSMC's factory construction not only increases job opportunities, but also takes the example of the 3nm factory in Tainan Science Park, Tainan Shanhua was originally a rural place, but after TSMC moved in, the local "Liantan Lane" became the richest Lane in Tainan, with an average annual income of 1.68 million yuan, a monthly population growth of more than 1%, and a population ratio of young adults, the youngest and highest fertility rate in Tainan. As a result, it can be predicted that if the 1nm factory is located in Longtan, it will definitely bring prosperous economic development to the area.
