Automaker Stellantis will lay off about 2,250 workers at its Mirafiori plant in the Italian city of Turin in the coming weeks due to weak demand, labor unions said.
The layoffs will take place between Feb. 12 and March 3, affecting 1,250 workers producing the electric Fiat 500 and another 1,000 producing Maserati models, a Stellantis spokesman said, confirming the union's statement.
