Alan will lead a team that will work closely with ADI's customers, universities, research institutions and other strategic partners to incubate new technologies and develop ecosystems to better support the launch of new technologies.

Alan is a seasoned technology executive who will help us accelerate our leadership at the smart edge by expanding ADI's capabilities in next-generation analog, mixed-signal, power, software and artificial intelligence," said Vincent Roche, ADI CEO and Chairman of the Board. Alan's broad and deep technical and business expertise and experience will help us achieve this goal. I look forward to working with Alan as ADI continues to be at the forefront of shaping the future of the intelligent edge."
Alan previously worked at AMD as Director of Research and Advanced Development. During his tenure, he led teams in the development of innovative hardware, software, artificial intelligence and high performance computing technologies, resulting in numerous innovations and patents over the past decade. Prior to joining AMD, Alan was the CEO of a privately held company developing innovative technologies for high frequency trading and quantitative financial analysis. Prior to that, he worked at Intel and IBM, where he gained extensive expertise and experience in large multinational engineering and technology projects.
I am excited to join ADI and continue its technology leadership at the intersection of the real and digital worlds," said Alan. ADI has long been synonymous with innovation. I can't wait to work with the company's talented technical staff to further strengthen and expand ADI's pioneering position in the years and decades to come."
A well-known industry leader, Alan currently chairs both the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) CTO Committee and the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) CTO Council. He has also served on the boards of the Semiconductor Research Corporation and the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics.
Alan will report directly to ADI's CEO and succeeds Dan Leibholz, former CTO of ADI, who is currently Senior Vice President of ADI's Digital Business Unit.
