Agencies expect NAND flash memory sales to decline in the fourth quarter, having fallen 24.3% in the third quarter

        The report, the third quarter of this year, due to lower than expected shipments of consumer electronics and servers, resulting in NAND flash memory shipments and average price decline, NAND flash memory sales, also fell to $ 13.71 billion, down 24.3% from the previous quarter.
 
 
        And from the agency's report, the fourth quarter global NAND flash memory market conditions will continue to be optimistic, demand and prices will still decline, sales are expected to decline by nearly 20% from a year earlier.
        For the fourth quarter, the research firm said that most manufacturers, except for Samsung Electronics, will be more cautious in their capacity planning after the release of the third quarter earnings, and suppliers will cut wafer investment and slow down technology migration in order to achieve a dynamic balance between supply and demand as soon as possible.
        The research firm also mentioned in the report that the surge in demand associated with the year-end holiday shopping season has not materialised this year, and that the passivity of NAND flash buyers has led to further inventory build-up on the supply side, and that the impact of production cuts on the market is not expected to have a significant effect in one quarter, thus NAND flash prices are still facing significant downward pressure in the third quarter.
        In the report, the research firm expects contract prices for NAND flash memory to decline by at least 20-25% in the fourth quarter on a sequential basis. High inventories and falling prices will lead to a further decline in global NAND flash sales in the fourth quarter.
