Apple Reported First-quarter Earnings for Fiscal 2023 iPhone Business Revenue down 8%

Apple announced its latest report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2023, saying it achieved revenue of $117.154 billion for the quarter, down 5 percent year-over-year. Net income was $29.998 billion, down 13 percent year-over-year.

The Americas division reported revenue of $49.278 billion, the Europe division reported revenue of $27.681 billion and the Greater China division reported revenue of $23.905 billion, down about 7 percent year-over-year. Revenue from the Japan segment was $6.755 billion, and revenue from the rest of Asia Pacific was $9.535 billion.
By product, revenue from iPhone was $65.775 billion, down 8 percent year-over-year, revenue from wearables, home products and accessories was $13.482 billion, revenue from services was $20.766 billion, revenue from iPad was $9.396 billion and revenue from Mac was $7.735 billion.
