Auto Chip Financing Boom Continues, can Investors Win?

Expert opinion, the influx of capital does not mean that investors can "lay win", after all, chip products are difficult to get rid of the price cycle.
 
 
        According to incomplete statistics, the past two months, the autonomous driving track disclosed a total of 18 financing, car chip, mass-production ADAS and closed or semi-closed scenarios for the application of the overall solution provider of autonomous driving, is still the focus of capital attention.
        Behind the capital surge is the "lack of core tide" in the automotive field that has lasted for more than three years, and although it has eased so far, chips are still not readily available. cars. According to forecasts, by the end of this year, the cumulative production cuts in the global automotive market will climb to 4,278,500 units, an increase of about 16,200 units from the previous estimate.
        Although the auto chip financing fever continues, but in the view of industry experts, investors are not involved in the field after the "lay win".
        Mature chip production is clearly the dominant field of traditional large manufacturers, the fight is not the semiconductor technology on the unique secret technology, but the control of the supply chain and the guarantee of stable shipments. Compared to the new players, Infineon, STMicroelectronics and other traditional major manufacturers more people rely on. 
        Data also supports this, January-March this year, Infineon's backlog of orders grew by 19.4% YoY, reaching 37 billion euros, more than three times the company's revenue in 2021. Another power semiconductor maker STMicroelectronics 2022 capacity has also been sold out, the backlog of orders visibility in about 18 months. 
        Experts warned that if future automotive chip production capacity is released centrally, it is possible to usher in the upstream cut orders, chip prices fell, the chip as a product with a price cycle, investors still need to maintain a high degree of acuity and vigilance to the market.
