Yesterday, MediaTek released the Tianji 8200 5G mobile chip, empowering high-end mobile phones to upgrade the gaming, video, display and connection experience. The Tianji 8200 adopts an advanced 4nm process, and the eight-core CPU architecture includes four Cortex-A78 cores, clocked frequency up to 3.1GHz, and a Mali-G610 six-core GPU, helping the endpoint fully unlock the benefits of high performance and energy efficiency.

Equipped with MediaTek HyperEngine 6.0 gaming engine, the Tianji 8200 supports a variety of leading edge technologies, including intelligent frame stabilization 2.0, AI-VRS variable rate rendering, intelligent CPU multi-threading optimization, 5G fast channel, etc., allowing high-frame games to run more consistently at full frames, reducing game cards and delays. The Tianji 8200 also supports adaptive refresh rate technology, which can intelligently adjust the refresh rate of the screen display according to the display content, providing a smoother display effect.
The Tianji 8200 uses an Imagiq 785 Image Processor (ISP), supports 320 million pixel main camera, and supports 3 cameras to shoot 14-bit HDR video at the same time. The chip supports movie mode, and when recording video with dual cameras, it can track the focus in real time, presenting a more natural multi-level depth of field effect. The Tianji 8200 also supports AI Noise Reduction (AI-NR), which can accurately and quickly capture image details in low-light environments.

The Tianji 8200 integrates a 5G modem and supports a 5G Sub-6GHz full-band network and three-carrier aggregation. In addition, the Tianji 8200 also supports Wi-Fi 6E, which can provide faster network transmission rates, and the 2x2 antenna provides higher performance and a more reliable wireless network connection experience.
Features of the Tianji 8200 5G mobile chip also include: MediaTek AI processor APU 580 is designed with a high energy efficiency architecture, providing powerful AI computing power while reducing the power consumption of AI applications, supporting new AI applications and functions such as multimedia and cameras, and unlocking new AI experiences. Support         Vulkan SDK for mobile end ray tracing. Supports 120Hz WQHD+ or 180Hz FHD+ display. Support HDR 10+ Adaptive, 4K AV1 video decoding, and AI SDR for HDR video playback, providing an immersive viewing experience. Supports Bluetooth LE Audio, dual-link true wireless stereo audio helps users enjoy high-quality audio. Smartphones with MediaTek 8200 5G mobile chip are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2022.
