Gartner Forecast: Global Semiconductor Revenue to Decline 11%

        According to Gartner's latest forecast, global semiconductor revenues will decline by 11.2% in 2023. 2022 semiconductor market revenues will total $599.6 billion, a modest increase of 0.2% from 2021.
        The short-term outlook for the semiconductor market is increasingly bleak. Global semiconductor revenue is expected to total $532 billion in 2023.

        Gartner research business vice president RichardGordon said: "the recession continues to make the end market electronics demand weakness is spreading from consumers to enterprises, so that the investment environment becomes confusing. In addition, oversupply in the chip market has led to increased inventories and lower chip prices, exacerbating the decline in the semiconductor market this year."
