ComputerBase has found some information about the next generation of Meteor Lake-S desktop processors in the code on Intel's official website. According to the description, the 14th generation Core CPUs will be based on the latest LGA 1851 slot, and support for LPDDR5X-7500 memory is verified for the next generation processors.

It is worth noting that the new LGA 1851 slot size is identical to the LGA-1700 size, except that the new socket's IHS protrudes higher than before, which ensures that Intel's new multi-tile technology has plenty of room to play with, and another reason may be to avoid previous problems such as warping and overheating that have occurred with Intel's Alder Lake.
Combined with the previously published PPT roadmap, it appears that Intel's Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake desktop processors will be compatible with the LGA 1851 slot. Furthermore, based on the information listed, we can conclude that the 14th generation Core processors will support up to LPDDR5X-7500 memory, while the high-end Arrow Lake CPUs are expected to support the LPDDR5X-8400 form factor and ECC DDR5 UDIMM and SO-DIMM models.
From what is known so far, Intel's 14th generation Meteor Lake-S series desktop CPUs will have weaker specs than the previous generation, at least in terms of the number of P-core, but there will certainly be a significant performance increase thanks to the new process, new architecture and new small-chip technology.
The Meteor Lake-S line-up given in the leaked chart includes five different models, with the top of the line processor consisting of a combination of six P-core and 16 E-core units, offering 22 cores and 28 threads.
In addition, the P-Cores on Meteor Lake CPUs are based on the new Redwood Cove architecture, while the E-Cores will feature the Crestmont design, both of which will bring new improvements and upgrades.
Note that the 14th generation Meteor Lake CPUs are limited to a maximum of i7, with the higher i9 seemingly only available in the Arrow Lake series, and that Meteor Lake will be a combination of Intel 4 (CPU) + TSMC N5 (tGPU) + TSMC N6 (SoC) processes, which are expected to be optimized in terms of cost, thanks to a new foundry strategy.
