According to media reports, chip maker Intel plans to focus on artificial intelligence and core particles (also known as "small chips") and other future technologies. Intel is one of the few semiconductor companies that both designs and manufactures its own chips, while rivals such as Qualcomm and Apple rely on foundry manufacturers for chip design.
According to media reports, Intel is integrating a range of new technologies such as core particles and artificial intelligence, and is developing a rigorous roadmap for manufacturing advances. Intel has long pursued cutting-edge chips to support its data center and consumer PC products. At the Meteor Lake chip launch in New York last year, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger hinted at the company's future direction, noting that the company expects to integrate five new nodes within four years, including Intel 7, Intel 4, Intel 3, Intel 20A and Intel 18A.
   M
edia reported that Intel is focused on integrating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and core-grain, and that the company's core-grain technology removes the distinction between server and client products, allowing the company to assemble chips based on customer demand. This allows the company to quickly produce customized chips for specific industries. As customized chips become trendy after 2025, timed releases of server and PC chips may become less important then, Gelsinger said at a news conference.
In early 2021, Intel revitalized its chip foundry manufacturing business, and renamed it "Intel Foundry Services" (Intel Foundry Services, referred to as IFS), the goal is to compete with TSMC and Samsung. Previously, foreign media reports, under the leadership of CEO Pat Gelsinger, Intel invested billions of dollars to build factories on three continents to restore its dominance in the field of chip manufacturing, and better compete with rival AMD.
2023 December, Israel's Ministry of Finance, Ministry of the Economy and the Tax Authority issued a joint statement announcing that Intel will invest $25 billion to build a new chip factory in Israel. a chip factory that will specialize in producing advanced chips for companies such as Apple and NVIDIA. In addition to building a new chip factory in Israel, Intel will also build new chip factories in eastern Germany and central Ohio.
