MediaTek Pentonic 1000 chip release: bring more power to TV

On November 11, after MediaTek released the flagship chip Tianji 9200 of the mobile terminal, it brought us a new smart TV terminal chip named Pentonic 1000.

This chip is designed for 4K 120Hz HDR display devices, and can also support 4K 144Hz VRR games. To provide such performance, it is equipped with a quad core CPU design. The CPU core is A73, and the main frequency is 2.0GHz; The GPU is Mali-G57 MC2 with a frequency of 800MHz. In addition, it is equipped with 4266Mbps LPDDR4/4X memory.
With this configuration, it can support the decoding of HDR standard videos such as Dolby View, BBC HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, and also adds support for video decoding of VVC(), HEVC(), AV1, and AVS3, which is rare in TV chips. It also supports four HDMI 2.1, two USB 3.2 Gen-1 and USB 2.0 interface extensions, and even supports WiFi-6/6E. Obviously, this is a chip for flagship TV.
Although the comprehensive configuration is good, MediaTek did not disclose the specific launch time of this chip before, which manufacturer will be the first to carry it, and the information of subsequent terminal manufacturers is still needed.
