Samsung Electronics has invested nearly $22 billion in semiconductor factories this year, accounting for nearly 90% of all factory investment

        November 16 news, according to foreign media reports, although the current situation of the global semiconductor market is not optimistic, under the influence of the decline in demand for consumer electronics, the price of memory chips and demand for both down, Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and other memory chip manufacturers have been affected, but the adverse market conditions, did not affect the investment determination of Samsung Electronics, they are still investing heavily in semiconductor factories.         The latest reports from foreign media show that Samsung Electronics has completed 3296.32 billion won of investment in factories in the first three quarters of this year, of which the investment in semiconductor factories amounted to 291,021 billion won, equivalent to about $21.955 billion, accounting for 88% of all factory investment.

        However, from the data given by the foreign media, although Samsung Electronics is still investing heavily in semiconductor factories, their investment in the first three quarters of this year is actually less than that of the same period last year.
        In the report, the foreign media mentioned that in the first three quarters of last year, Samsung Electronics completed 334,926 billion won of investment in factories, and the investment in semiconductor factories was 29.99 trillion, accounting for 89.5% of all factory investment.
        Semiconductors are an important business under Samsung Electronics and an important source of profit for them, and account for a significant portion of the investment. Semiconductors are also a key investment focus for the Samsung Group, and were one of the key business areas they announced in May to invest 450 trillion KRW over the next five years.
