On November 5, Qualcomm said that it may take two years to see Nuvia based Qualcomm chips on consumer PCs, but things are going smoothly.
In a recent investor conference call, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon explained that the company has recently achieved several design successes in Snapdragon personal computers.

"Based on the large number of design wins so far, we expect that by 2024, Windows on Snapdragon PCs will have a turning point."
"Design victory" refers to a company's reference design of a certain component (chip in the text) to achieve the sales plan. For example, Qualcomm can show Nuvia based reference designs to OEMs, and then the manufacturer can include subsequent chips containing reference based designs in their long-term plans.
Although Qualcomm's design victory is good news for the company, it has actually delayed Nuvia's chip plan. They originally planned to sample in August 2022, while the launch date was 2023. However, the latest sampling plan seems to have been postponed to 2023, and the commercialization will not be completed until 2024.
According to their ideas, Qualcomm's Nuvia based processor, once launched, will compete with Apple's M1, M2 and other Arm chips. Of course, the premise is that their design is really worth commercial use.
Earlier this year, Arm sued Qualcomm for chip design based on Nuvia technology. At present, the lawsuit is still in progress, claiming that Qualcomm violated the license agreement with Arm and violated the trademark, so Arm asked Qualcomm to destroy Nuvia's design.
Qualcomm also discussed the results of their current efforts. Amun emphasized the AI functions recently displayed at Microsoft Ignite Conference. "Our Snapdragon computing platform demonstrated the AI ability to change the rules of the game at the Microsoft Ignite 2022 developer conference, which will redefine the user experience of Windows 11."
