Qualcomm promotes 5G innovation to empower the automotive industry, accelerating the arrival of the era of intelligent connected vehicles

        At the 2023 Qualcomm Automotive Technology and Cooperation Summit held earlier, Qualcomm demonstrated a 5G intelligent connected Concept car based on the Snapdragon digital chassis. Based on Qualcomm Snapdragon's digital chassis solution, the vehicle demonstrates innovative automotive functions and services, such as the powerful connectivity capabilities of Snapdragon's Smart Connect platform 4G, 5G, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, cellular Vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) and satellite communications, and the intelligent driving solutions brought to the industry by Snapdragon Ride platform. These innovations will further improve the efficiency and comfort of car travel, and improve people's driving experience.
        Since 2021, Qualcomm Snapdragon Digital Chassis has supported more than 40 Chinese auto brands and launched more than 100 models. At this summit, NIO, GAC, FAW Volkswagen and others brought over 30 models, vividly showcasing the driving experience brought by Snapdragon's digital chassis. On the eve of the summit, the first intelligent connected vehicle themed joint innovation center jointly built by Qualcomm and Chinese partners was also unveiled in Suzhou. The establishment of this cooperation center further deepens the cooperation between Qualcomm and China's industrial chain partners, helps promote innovation in the automotive industry, and promotes the application of technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence in the automotive field. Qualcomm's Chairman in China, Meng Pu, stated that Qualcomm expects to transfer its cooperation experience with Chinese partners in the field of mobile internet to intelligent connected vehicles, supporting Chinese companies to better develop in the global market.
        In a word, with the accumulation of 5G and Vehicle-to-everything technologies, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon digital chassis solution, which provides technical support for the transformation and upgrading of China's intelligent connected vehicle industry. At the same time, Qualcomm has also fully played its role in the construction of industrial ecology, continuously deepening its relationship with China's industrial chain partners, and jointly promoting the innovative application of advanced technologies such as 5G and AI in the automotive field, accelerating the innovative development process of China's intelligent connected vehicles.
