More than 50 commercial XR devices using the Snapdragon XR platform have been released, including numerous products from Chinese device manufacturers. This was revealed by Qualcomm's President and CEO Ammon at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2022 recently.

At the recently concluded IFA 2022, Qualcomm and Meta announced a multi-year strategic agreement to collaborate on a new era of spatial computing empowered by the Snapdragon XR platform and the Meta Quest platform powered by the Snapdragon XR platform.
The metaverse is currently one of the hottest topics in the industry, and also a new blue ocean of business to be further developed. In Qualcomm's view, XR extended reality devices, including augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality devices, will become the main entry point to the metaverse for consumers. Smartphones and mobile PCs will also be extended to this virtual world, and smartwatches, earbuds, smart home hubs and other terminals will become the physical links to the meta-universe. As the number of net-connected terminals continues to grow and the interconnection of everything is gradually realized, the data generated by them will help build the meta-universe. As a global leader in the field of smart devices, Qualcomm brings the advantages of AI, imaging, graphics, processing and connectivity to almost all types of devices with its "unified technology roadmap", helping to transform a wide range of industries and accelerate the meta-universe.
