Reza Electronics launched Wi-Fi 6/6E four-band extender: it can enhance the signal and expand the working range

        With the popularity of smart home, the number of connected wireless devices in the home is also increasing significantly, resulting in excessive congestion in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. Wi-Fi 6 technology is known as "indoor 5G", with ultra-fast network speed; Wi-Fi 6E is an enhanced and expanded version of Wi-Fi 6.
 
 
        The biggest difference between Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 chip is the frequency band. Wi-Fi 6 is 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and Wi-Fi 6E is a new 6GHz frequency band in addition to the two frequency bands, which is a fast channel for increasing online traffic. 
        Renesa Electronics has launched a Wi-Fi 6/6E four-band extender, which is an extended wireless signal and provides a high coverage and high performance solution for single-channel AP (router), multi-channel AP (mesh network) scenarios and use scenarios of all frequency bands.
According to the official website of Renesa, the main control chip used by the extender is CORTINA CA8289 of the four-core ARM Cortex-A55. 
        In terms of Wi-Fi expansion, first of all, a WiFi 6E chip CL8066 is used. Only two PCIe interfaces are needed to support a total of 14 radio frequency links to achieve flexible MIMO allocation. For example, the three-band solution can be realized, and each band (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz) supports 4 × 4 MIMO, together with a dedicated fourth listening RF circuit, uses up to two receiving RF links to carry out parallel spectrum analysis, Zero-Wait-DFS, Zero-Wait-CAC, beacon analysis and packet listening, so as to achieve fast and efficient spectrum scanning and channel characteristic analysis. 
        Secondly, the WiFi 6 chip uses CL8060, a chip with antenna device that can work together in 5G low and 5G high frequency bands. 
        Then DA14531 BLE 5.1 ultra-low power Bluetooth SoC is used, which is the same chip with the smallest size and the highest power efficiency. It has built-in PCB on-board antenna and supports external antenna, which simplifies the development of Bluetooth products, promotes the wider application of Bluetooth low-power (BLE) connection technology, and greatly reduces the cost of adding Bluetooth low-power connection function to any system. It has a wide range of applications, including health care devices, wireless POS machines, intelligent wearable devices, HID devices (human-machine interface devices), and industrial sensors and controls.
        DA14531 integrates 2.4GHz transceiver and ARM Cortex-M0+microcontroller, with 48kB RAM and 32kB one-time programmable (OTP) memory. It can be used as an independent application processor or as a data pump in a managed system. 
        The function of the WiFi extender is to enhance the WiFi signal and expand its working range. Reza's Wi-Fi 6/6E four-band extender architecture can achieve the expansion of 2.4GHz+5GHz low+5GHz high+6GHz (four-band) or 2.4GHz+5GHz+6GHz+listening chain (three-band+). Its dynamic backhaul exceeds 6 or 5. H (including 5.9GHz) frequency band, with powerful functions; Integrate 2 transceivers/radios with a single package size of 11mm × 11mm, space saving and power consumption advantage, about 30% lower than similar products. 
        This four-band extender not only meets Wi-Fi 6 and supports Wi-Fi 6E, but also achieves up to three times the improvement effect of some single-client/multi-client test scenarios.
