According to Korean media outlet TheElec, Nextin supplied third-generation wafer inspection equipment in the third quarter. The deal was worth 7 billion won, and the cost of a single unit was $6 million, so this means that Nextin may have supplied only one unit.

Nextin's "AEGIS-DP" and "AEGIS-II" devices detect subtle pattern Pattern and Defect in the semiconductor circuit generation process by optical image comparison. Defects and particle in the semiconductor circuit generation process by means of optical image comparison, semiconductor component manufacturers to help research and development unit process technology and improve the yield rate.
The fab equipment maker's Aegis-3 is said to be its latest equipment, with a 30% increase in inspection speed compared to Aegis-2.
Nextin said it plans to supply more kits to Chinese foundries and memory chipmakers. It was disclosed that in addition to Chinese chipmakers, the company is also supplying other equipment to other chipmakers ResQ, for the extreme ultraviolet process for de-staticization, and Iris, for 3D wafer inspection.
According to InvestKorea information, Nextin is Korea's only semiconductor inspection equipment, specialized technology enterprises, the main production and sale of wafer inspection system, used to detect semiconductor components circuit production process (front-end process, wafer processing) in the pattern defects and impurities.
It is understood that, in the semiconductor production process, the front process in the field of localization rate is much lower than the back channel package process, especially the pattern defect detection equipment, the only imported equipment on the market, forming a monopoly situation. The world's production of semiconductor front process with optical pattern defect detection equipment, including the United States KLA and AMAT, the technical threshold is quite high.
