However, due to the problems of capacity and price, SSD has been a plaything for DIY players for a long time. However, with the continuous decline in the price of large-capacity SSDs, the penetration rate of SSDs in the notebook computer market is also steadily increasing. Last year, the loading rate of SSDs in the notebook market exceeded 50%, and it is expected to reach 60~65% by the end of this year. Demand decreases accordingly.
But at present, for a long time, the price of SSD has continued to decline, and the decline has been huge, but the more the price is lowered, the less people will buy it. It seems that it has entered this cycle and cannot extricate itself. A reporter came to a digital electronic mall in Hongkou District, Shanghai, and inquired about a memory with a capacity of 1TB M2 interface, the model is Samsung 980. Last year, the price once rose to about 1,400 yuan, and now it is less than 700 yuan.
At present, the prices of most memory devices have fallen significantly, and merchants said that since November last year, the prices of memory devices have begun to decline all the way. The memory is mainly composed of a controller and a memory chip, and it is the memory chip that determines its price. In the first half of this year, downstream demand declined, but global memory chip shipments continued to grow. Many chip manufacturers in the industry, such as Micron and Hynix, issued warnings, indicating that the oversupply of chips was intensifying.
Some industry analysts said that the inventory of these memory chips has been increasing in the past two years, and it has not been well digested, resulting in the phenomenon of oversupply becoming obvious, and the price will drop very sharply.
