There's a lot to be done! The latest disassembly of iPhone14Pro Max gives a first look at the internal circuit function and structure design

I still remember that before the release of the iPhone 14 series, there were many rumors that Apple might provide a version that only supports eSIM. At that time, many people were full of doubts. However, in fact, this has begun to happen gradually. In addition, Apple has also brought new satellite communication functions for the first time. Let's take a look inside as we disassemble!

As we all know, for the first time, the iPhone 14 series no longer has a SIM card slot, and users can only use eSIM, but only the American version.
For this new technology, a few days ago, a domestic netizen left a message on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology asking about the eSIM card. He said that the use of eSIM cards has caused more discussion recently. Do you have any plans to promote eSIM mobile phone cards in China? In response, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that it was organizing research to promote the application of eSIM technology on smart phones and other devices.
From the latest disassembly of the Apple 14 Pro Max by foreign media, we can continue to check that the place that used to belong to the SIM card reader has "nothing".
Of course, the US mobile phone is the only model with this blank space - you can see the comparison between the EU purchase version with SIM slot and the US version without SIM card. However, it is still a bit creepy to waste space like this, which is very different from Apple's style. The size of the plastic gasket is 2 × 2 Lego blocks are roughly the same, weighing half a gram.
So the question is, what will they use to fill this space next time? The probability of being left blank for a long time is zero. After all, it is said that the famous Steve Jobs threw the first iPod into the aquarium. Seeing some bubbles appear, he denounced the team for wasting all space.
It is speculated that this will be the perfect location for the MicroSD card. Apple is introducing a 48 MP camera and 8K video recording that require a lot of memory. Now is the perfect time to introduce modular storage slots - especially for the 128GB base model.
After all, the 1GB MicroSD card now sells for less than $20. When your photo space runs out, how great is it to upgrade your phone? Of course, the new 48MP camera can consume storage space very quickly - at full resolution, each photo can run 100MB. Furthermore, you can even load and edit videos directly from the DJI Mavic UAV. By using this space for modular storage, you can unlock many possibilities and lifetimes.
Just imagine, if I go back to 2008 and tell you that the world's most advanced camera can take 48MP photos, you will be impressed! But what if I tell you that 600 of them will take up more than half of your memory, and it doesn't have any memory card slots? What an absurd "progress" this is.
Therefore, a MicroSD card reader will fit in the SIM card reader slot. However, the reason why Apple cannot do this is not based on hardware, because only a MicroSD card reader is enough, and Apple also knows how to waterproof the slot, which the company has been doing for many years. Therefore, it is not difficult to guess why there is no MicroSD card for iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max or why Apple has made too much money from the storage upgrade
In any case, adding capacity to storage seems to have happened in the past decade. Apple is making billions of dollars in services for this purpose, and the more they install, the more they earn. Given that the flash memory market is at a low point, although the inflation market has pushed up other costs, the record low storage price may enable Apple to keep the iPhone price unchanged.
In addition to the change of SIM card slot, Apple has switched to Qualcomm's latest 5G modem in its product line. This undoubtedly frustrates Apple's chip team, which has been producing their own 5G modems for many years (first with Intel, then with their newly acquired internal team). They didn't succeed, so Qualcomm won with its potentially expensive 4nm components.
Obviously, Apple's advantage is that the new X65 supports the 53 band, which is Globalstar's 2.4 GHz frequency for satellite communications. Of course, the iPhone is already equipped with a 2.4 GHz antenna for Wi Fi, so Apple can simply use the existing antenna.
In general, if users are trapped in desert or dynamic island, the satellite function of this mobile phone may be useful.
In a conversation with Reuters a few days ago, Apple analyzed their innovation on Qualcomm: "iPhone 14 includes customized RF components and new software completely designed by Apple, which together achieve emergency SOS via satellite on the new iPhone 14."
But the problem comes again. Samsung also has excellent engineers. What on earth prevented them from quickly following up their SOS functions? It is reported that Apple promised to purchase 85% of the sales volume of Globalstar related products. Therefore, Samsung needs to seek another satellite partner at this stage.
In fact, SpaceX and T-Mobile generously announced that they had established a technology partnership before Apple's event. Although it is also radical according to Elon Musk's standard, and promises to have SMS connection anywhere in the world, it is obviously revolutionary. But first, SpaceX needs to complete the Starship and launch a new Starlink 2 satellite constellation. Each satellite has an antenna up to 7 meters high. Anyway, at this stage, Apple and Globalstar have the first mover advantage in this regard.
In other words, although the iPhone 14 Pro Max has been released, as mentioned above, it seems that the general consensus is that it is better than the previous model, but it should not be enough to prove the rationality of the replacement. Therefore, as the innovation curve of mobile phone manufacturers such as Apple tends to be stable, many people will only hold devices for longer.
