        The "most expensive" World Cup in history, worth 220 billion US dollars, has started.         As early as March 2022, Adidas could not wait for the foreign officials to declare that the "journey" ball was designed by itself. Adidas said that the "journey" will be the fastest football in history. The key to enabling the "Journey" to fly quickly is that the sphere is spliced by 20 SPEEDSHELL modules through thermal bonding technology, rather than sewing with thread.
        In addition to the use of scientific and technological means on the surface of the ball, the bigger highlight is actually the inner "core" of the football. According to China Semiconductor Forum, "Journey" is equipped with Adidas suspension system, which includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor, which can detect serious offside events. The sensor is located in the center of the ball, and can send the ball data to the video operation room 500 times per second, so that the kicking point can be detected very accurately, and high-precision ball movement data can be collected and sent to the referee.
        People in the semiconductor industry said that the technology used for this built-in sensor is MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System). "Based on MEMS technology, various accelerometers, optical sensors, pressure sensors, gyroscopes, humidity sensors and gas sensors can be made". 
        In fact, similar techniques have long existed in basketball, tennis and other sports, but this is the first time they have been used in football. The technical principle of CTR CORE is similar to the chip of gyroscope, which can fully record the initial speed, running speed, movement angle and other data of a football. In particular, football is an extremely competitive sport. It is not easy to make the chip more stable and accurate in recording movement tracks.
