TrendForce research report shows that the first half of 2023, in addition to the traditional off-season stocking, and consumer electronics demand remains weak, companies plan to cut capital expenditure, but in the power management chip leader TI (TI) RFAB2, LFAB production capacity has been opened under the situation, it is estimated that the first half of the global power management chip production capacity of 4.7%, on consumer electronics, network communications The first half is expected to continue to reduce the price pressure on consumer electronics, network communications, industrial control and other applications, the offer is expected to drop 5 ~ 10 %. On the contrary, the automotive products in the fuel car to electric vehicle process, driven by stable demand, even if the downturn in the market murmurs, but the automotive products benefit from the long-term relationship between buyers and sellers, the price does not loose significantly, will become the only stable sales momentum of the overall power management chip market.
TrendForce indicates that the power management chips used in notebooks, tablets, TVs, smartphones and other products have started to drop in price since the third quarter of 2022, with a quarterly decrease of 3~10%. IT House has learned that, as the industrial and automotive power management chips have more than 83% in the hands of IDM manufacturers, IC designers are still generally more difficult to enter, and this is also in the consumer electronics demand At a time when the demand for consumer electronics is sluggish, IC design companies are eager to enter the market, and the progress of IC delivery inspection continues without delay.

The current power management chip delivery situation, the average delivery time of IC design companies for 12 to 28 weeks, and even some models of products with a large inventory, such as panel-end power management chip, as long as the order can be shipped immediately; while the IDM maker's delivery time is still generally longer, non-car specification delivery time of 20 to 40 weeks, while the car specification delivery time is more than 32 weeks, there are also a few manufacturing, assembly and inspection process is more cumbersome products are still in the state of allocation.
