TSMC greatly shortens the days of collection, and small IC design companies face challenges

        According to China's Taiwan media technology news report, the foundry TSMC rumored to shorten the number of days of receipt from next year, which will help improve the performance of TSMC's finance department, but for small IC design companies will face a test of cash flow capacity.
 
        A number of IC design companies on the 13th confirmed that they have been notified by TSMC to shorten the collection days from next year, but the collection conditions vary according to the scale of each order, some manufacturers will be significantly shortened from the past 30 days to 15 days; some manufacturers are from the past monthly settlement, the average number of days to collect about 45 days, to within 30 days. 
        IC design industry, said TSMC in recent years, a large investment in expansion, capital expenditure this year and next year will be more than $ 40 billion scale, shorten the number of days of receipt, should be to slow down the pressure of cash flow. Media analysis, TSMC capital expenditure does require a lot of money, shorten the number of days to receive more interest, will help to improve the performance of the finance department.
        TSMC has notified customers next year will increase the foundry price, the current industrial climate variables, inflation, interest rate increases, epidemic sealing control and other factors that may affect the demand for consumer products such as computers and cell phones, many IC design houses have been difficult to follow up on price increases, gross margins are under pressure of compression. TSMC to further shorten the number of days of receipt, larger, more financially sound IC design houses should not be affected, but the cash flow capacity of small IC design houses will be tested.
