WiSA E innovation enables TVs to deliver multi-channel audio without HDMI cables

WiSA Technologies, a leading provider of immersive wireless sound technologies for smart devices and next-generation home entertainment systems, announced that it has developed and demonstrated its latest WiSA E technology, designed to enable next-generation immersive audio products. By eliminating the need for duplicate components between the TV and the strip speakers, consumers can expect to save hundreds of dollars while enhancing their audio experience. wiSA E offers consumers the most versatile set of options across cost features, design and sonic characteristics, a complete solution that supports the interoperability of the end user's TV with multiple brands of speakers/speakers.
"Strip speakers brought the first generation of affordable multi-channel audio systems to the average consumer, but this came at the cost of another cable and another piece of electronic equipment appearing in front of our beautiful HD televisions." Brett Moyer adds. "So it's a temporary solution. The really perfect solution would be to eliminate all devices with wired connections and allow the TV to transmit and create a better immersive soundstage, rather than having as many speakers as possible on one device."
An increasing amount of content is now available to support 5.1 channel immersive sound and newer content will support Dolby Atmos in 5.1.4 channels. These new developments prevent bar speaker products from creating the audio soundstage that users expect and consumers from experiencing these immersive audio formats.
