Apple M2 Extreme Chip Specification Disclosure

        on October 3 that, according to Bloomberg News Mark Gurman, Apple is developing a Mac Pro with M2 Extreme chip, which will be previewed later this year and launched in early 2023.
 
 
        In addition, Gurman said that Apple will launch a new Mac mini equipped with M2 and M2 Pro chips, and a new 14 inch and 16 inch MacBook Pro equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. The new chip specifications are still unknown.
        According to Macworld, the upgrade of Apple M2 series may be similar to the integration of M1 series, as shown below:
        M2: 8-core CPU and 10 core GPU, up to 24GB unified memory
        M2 Pro (estimated): maximum 10 core CPU, maximum 20 core GPU, maximum 48GB unified memory
        M2 Max (estimated): up to 10 core CPU, 40 core GPU, up to 96GB unified memory
        M2 Ultra (estimated): 24 core CPU, 80 core GPU, up to 192GB unified memory
        M2 Extreme (estimated): 48 core CPU, 160 core GPU core, up to 384GB unified memory
        Apple M1 series
        This statement is different from what Bloomberg reported earlier. The latter said that Apple had developed a 40 core chip for the upcoming Mac Pro:
        The redesigned Mac Pro is codenamed Jade 2C Die and Jade 4C Die. It is planned to provide 20 or 40 CPU cores, consisting of 16 or 32 high-performance cores and 4 or 8 efficient cores. These chips will also include 64 core or 128 core GPUs. The number of computing cores exceeds the 28 cores provided by today's Intel Mac Pro chip, and the more high-end GPU will replace the GPU now manufactured by AMD.
        However, whether it is 40 cores or 48 cores, the M2 Extreme is likely to be specially designed for Apple's super powerful Mac Pro. This long-awaited machine is expected to be released next year, and we will wait and see.
