According to a new report published by market research firm Market.us, the global small chips (Chiplet) market generated a market size of approximately $3.1 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach $4.4 billion by 2024.The small chips industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 42.5% from 2024 to 2033, and will reach a valuation of $107 USD billion.

In terms of segmentation, CPU Chiplet dominated the market, holding more than 41% share in 2023. On the application front, the consumer electronics segment dominated the Chiplet market, holding more than 26% share in 2023.
Chiplets offer several advantages over traditional monolithic IC designs, including higher flexibility, scalability, and modularity. Growing demand for advanced semiconductor solutions across multiple industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, telecom, data centers, and artificial intelligence (AI) is a major driving factor.
The increasing complexity and performance requirements of modern electronic devices require innovative approaches such as Chiplet to meet these needs. Microprocessors are the largest segment for Chiplet, and the microprocessor market share supporting Chiplet is expected to grow from $452 million in 2018 to $2.4 billion by 2024, according to research firm Omida.
Another driving factor is the growth of the Chiplet ecosystem. Companies specializing in Chiplet design, manufacturing, and assembly have emerged in the market. These players offer a range of Chiplet-based solutions and services that contribute to the growth of the market.
