Revenue for the quarter increased 23.4% year-over-year (4.6% quarter-over-quarter) to US$2,169 million, a new record high and better than the mid-point of the earnings estimate (US$2,156 million) released on November 3 last year; non-GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) increased 30% year-over-year to US$1.56, a new record high and better than the mid-point of the earnings estimate (US$1.56 million) released on November 3 last year.         Microchip CEO Ganesh Moorthy noted that Microchip's revenue grew for the ninth consecutive quarter, and operating profit and net income reached new highs. Moorthy also mentioned that the 2022 zero-out policy for new crowns in mainland China and the subsequent rapid unblocking has led to higher than normal inventory levels at the channel end and with customers.
