When it comes to Intel, the first thing you think of is their x86 processor, which is also their home page. However, in recent years, Intel has also tried to diversify its development and opened up many new businesses, but these businesses have not grown up. In recent years, six non main businesses have been sold.
These six areas are realsense somatosensory, NAND flash memory, 4g/5g baseband, sports and wearable, as well as the UAV and optane aoten businesses confirmed at the Q2 financial report meeting.
Some of the businesses sold are small-scale, such as UAV, realsense, sports and wear. However, NAND flash memory + aoten flash memory add up to a business of 10 billion dollars, which is large-scale. But the competition is fierce, or the cost is too high to cause losses, so Intel sells or gives up.
Although the scale of 4g/5g baseband chip business is not large, its position is very important. Unfortunately, Intel's mobile chip business has not been established, and finally sold the baseband business to apple.
At present, Intel's core businesses are mainly PC processors, data center /ai processors, axg graphics accelerators / game cards, Mobileye autopilot chips, network and edge plan nex, and ifs OEM business. In Q2, it contributed $7.7 billion, 4.6 billion, 186 million, 460 million, 2.3 billion and 122 million in revenue respectively, and pc+ data center processors accounted for more than 80%.
