According to the latest reports from foreign media, Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday, local time, a plan to build a semiconductor cluster in Namsa, Longin City, which will become the world's largest semiconductor industry cluster.
        Foreign media disclosed in the report that Samsung Electronics plans to build a semiconductor cluster in Longren Namsa, and the scale of the industrial park will reach 7.10 million square meters, which is larger than the total scale of their existing parks in Huacheng, Pyeongtaek and Longren. Of course, the construction of a large-scale semiconductor industry cluster means that huge investment is required, and a large number of jobs will be created, which will have considerable economic benefits. Foreign media mentioned in the report that experts expect investment in Yongin Namsa semiconductor cluster to reach 300 trillion won, or about 228 billion US dollars, and direct and indirect output to reach 700 trillion won, creating about 1.60 million high-quality jobs.
        Samsung Electronics' plans to build a huge semiconductor industry cluster also means it will build multiple semiconductor production lines and attract a large number of upstream and downstream manufacturers. Samsung Electronics said it plans to build five cutting-edge system semiconductor production lines in the park by 2042, which will attract 150 domestic and foreign manufacturers of materials, components, equipment and fabless. Samsung Electronics plans to build the semiconductor industry cluster with the vision of becoming the world's largest system semiconductor manufacturer and largest foundry, as well as expanding its advantages over other manufacturers in the storage field. Samsung Electronics is currently the world's largest manufacturer of memory chips.
