In the first half of this year, benefiting from the continued high boom of the new energy photovoltaic industry and the structural upgrade and transformation of the semiconductor industry, TCL Technology's new energy photovoltaic and semiconductor materials business grew significantly, and the percentage of revenue and performance contribution continued to increase.
TCL Technology play G12 product technology and stacked tile product technology advantage, seize the industry development opportunities, accelerate to seize the technology dividend, maintain the company's new energy photovoltaic performance strong growth. tCL Central first half-year net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies is expected to 2.85 billion yuan - 3.05 billion yuan, an increase of 92.57% - 106.8% over the same period last year. As of the end of June 2022, the company's PV wafer production capacity increased to 109GW. the company's crystal production capacity is expected to exceed 140GW by the end of 2022, of which G12 advanced production capacity accounts for about 90%, the company has now become the global monocrystalline scale TOP1 manufacturers.
In the first half of this year, TCL Technology's semiconductor materials business continued to adhere to the dual path development of "special process + advanced process", rapidly promoting the construction of large silicon wafer projects, accelerating the strategic upgrading of product structure and continuous expansion of application fields, 8-12" semiconductor wafer sales continued to climb, and signed long-term strategic cooperation agreements with many international chip manufacturers. The company has signed long-term strategic cooperation agreements with many international chip manufacturers and become the largest manufacturer of semiconductor wafers in mainland China. It is worth noting that, in order to achieve the company's leading position in the semiconductor materials business, the company has joined hands with its partners to carry out a 10,000-ton electronic-grade polysilicon project, and has entered into long-term cooperation with Jiangsu Xinhua in the fields of electronic-grade polysilicon and large semiconductor wafers, through which the company will further strengthen its market position in the field of semiconductor materials.
In order to grasp the future development opportunities, TCL Keji reserves development potential and actively promotes the construction of projects related to semiconductor display business. Among them, the 8.6th generation oxide semiconductor new display device project (t9 project) targeting high potential growth markets such as IT, automotive and special display, whose first product was successfully lit on July 5, will significantly enhance the competitiveness of TCL Huaxing's medium-sized business. The 6th generation semiconductor new display device production line expansion project (t5 project), which focuses on high value-added automotive and AR/VR products, also ushered in new progress. Its first automated equipment was moved in on July 1 and is expected to achieve mass production in the first half of 2023, which will also help TCL Huaxing increase its market share in the small and medium-sized display field in the future.
