Texas Instruments (TI) offers an automated purchasing experience with the TI store API

        Security of supply for semiconductors is a continuing area of interest for the electronics industry. Texas Instruments (TI) today announced a major advancement in helping manufacturers get the products they need.TI has introduced an application programming interface (API) suite that provides manufacturers with a new purchasing experience with accurate, real-time information about TI's inventory of analog and embedded processing products.
"Companies are looking for easy ways to better anticipate and plan their supply needs and accelerate time-to-market, which requires working directly with their suppliers," said Mark Roberts, senior vice president of global sales and marketing at TI, "and we are pleased to be the first We are pleased to be the first semiconductor manufacturer to introduce this API suite. It gives our customers a clearer view of TI's genuine in-stock inventory and provides them with a more convenient buying experience."
 
        The TI store API enables customer purchasing systems to connect directly to TI systems and digitally transfer and exchange data quickly, allowing TI customers to customize their ordering process with the API and purchase TI products as soon as they become available. Access to TI's real-time inventory data will help procurement teams reduce costs and delays, as well as improve the accuracy of the information they receive.
