UMC got a large single automotive chip

         As the foundry's mature process capacity is rumored to be loosening, international automotive chip makers have recently come to Taiwan to grab capacity, including the leading Infineon, the second brother NXP, DEI, microchip technology and other automotive chip "four kings" are looking for UMC to increase investment, pushing up UMC capacity utilization continues to be full, the heat continues to the end of the year without risk. 
 
 
        Industry analysis, the arrival of the four major orders for automotive chips, not only to keep UMC's production capacity full, in time to make up for the gap in the decline of other chip market conditions, but also effectively alleviate the problem of automotive chip shortage that has plagued car manufacturers for many years.
      The industry also rumors that, although UMC has encountered some customers demand to reduce the situation of the chip, but because of the large automotive customers to give "as much capacity to receive" commitment, UMC unexpectedly did not require the intention to amend the amount of chip customers forced to take goods, but privately told "to amend the amount of chip to hurry up Instead, they were told privately that they should "take the initiative to inform the customers if they want to revise their chip quantities", so that they could quickly free up internal capacity to take orders from automotive customers and meet their needs.
      UMC has never commented on customers and orders, stressing that the automotive market demand is still very strong, not only this quarter's capacity utilization rate exceeds 100%, continued to exceed demand, and is expected to maintain such a hot situation by the end of this year capacity.
