U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association Strives to Block U.S. Government's Chip Export Restrictions to China

        Reuters reported on the 17th, the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association (Semiconductor Industry Association) on Monday urged the Biden administration to avoid "further" restrictions on chip sales to China.
        The statement was introduced in October (last year) a series of restrictions on the development of China's chip industry, and limit some of the foreign investment in response to the new executive order.
        Global has cited Bloomberg reported on the 15th, people familiar with the matter revealed that the chief executive officers (CEOs) of the three major U.S. chip giants will go to Washington, D.C., to meet with U.S. government officials and lawmakers to lobby Biden to give up the introduction of new restrictions on China's chip exports. The three chip giants are said to be Intel, Qualcomm and Nvidia, and while they don't expect to be able to stop all related actions by the U.S. government, they perceive a window of opportunity in which they hope to convince the Biden administration that an escalation of the situation would jeopardize the White House's diplomatic efforts to engage with the Chinese side at this time as well as to build a more productive relationship.
