Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: Vishay Intertechnology, Inc.) VSH announced the launch of three new lines of automotive surface mount standard rectifiers --2 A SE20Nx, 3 A SE30Nx and 4 A SE40Nx, all in industry-leading thin wettable wing DFN3820A packages. With reverse voltages of 200 V, 400 V and 600 V, respectively, SE20Nx, SE30Nx and SE40Nx provide a space-saving and efficient solution for power line polarity protection and rail-to-rail protection for commercial, industrial and automotive applications.
The recently announced Vishay General Semiconductor rectifiers are the first in Vishay's new Power DFN series DFN3820A package, with a footprint of 3.8 mm x 2.0 mm and a typical thickness of 0.88 mm, allowing for more efficient use of PCB space. At the same time, the device's excellent copper design and advanced chip placement technology can achieve excellent thermal performance and increase the rated operating current.
The SE20Nx, SE30Nx, and SE40Nx are AEC-Q101 certified and are 12 % lower in height and double the current rating of SMP (DO-220AA) packages with the same footprint. In addition, the rectifier current rating is equal to or greater than the larger traditional SMB (DO-214AA) and SMC (DO-214AB) packages, as well as the eSMP® family of SlimSMA (DO-221AC), SlimSMAW (DO-221AD), SMPA (DO-2212BC), and SMPC (TO-2778A) packages. devices.
The rectifiers are designed with an oxide planar chip junction with a typical reverse leakage current of less than 0.1 μA and a reduced forward voltage of 0.86 V, helping to reduce power consumption and improve efficiency. The device operates from -55 °C to +175 °C and is ESD capable in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2 (air discharge mode). The rectifier is well suited for automatic pick-and-place placement processing, with an MLS moisture sensitivity rating of Class 1 per J-STD-020 and a maximum LF peak of 260 °C. The device is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
