On May 30, Renesas Electronics announced the release of three new MCU product groups for motor control applications, with more than 35 new products from the RX and RA families. These new MCUs expand Renesas' outstanding motor control portfolio, which includes a wide range of MCUs and MPUs, analog and power solutions, sensors, communication devices, signal conditioners and more.

Renesas introduces two new MCU product groups for the Arm® Cortex®-M-based RA family. The RA4T1 product group offers 100 MHz performance with up to 256 KB of Flash and 40 KB of SRAM, while the new RA6T3 product group operates at 200 MHz with 256 KB of Flash and 40 KB of SRAM. Both new product groups target motor control applications and offer a range of excellent features and functions, including Both new product groups target motor control applications with a range of excellent features and functions, including a trigonometric function unit (TFU) for acceleration, advanced ADCs with integrated PGAs, and a choice of communication interfaces including CAN FD. These new products are supported by Renesas Flexible Configuration Package (FSP) and can be easily ported to other RA product designs.
In addition, Renesas is introducing the new RX26T product family, which operates at 120MHz and features up to 512KB of Flash memory and 64KB of SRAM. they not only support 5V power supplies, provide high noise immunity and control accuracy, but also offer TFU, on-chip timing and interrupt control functions. Users of the popular RX24T MCU can easily extend their designs to the new RX26T product to take full advantage of their existing design software, while achieving both performance and control efficiency.
